I am a life long airplane modeler and have been flying r/c since the early days of single channel escapement and reeds. I have built and flown just about every kind of r/c airplane there is and eventually got into ducted fan jets about 14 years ago. I have been flying turbines for 10 years and have experience with a variety of different turbine brands and jet manufacturers. I generally built and fly my own jets and although I enjoy flying sport jets, my real passion is for scale military jets.
I have also been in full scale aviation most of my adult life with 8 years in the Air Force flying A-7’s and A-10’s and an additional 30 years in commercial aviation. I have flown light airplanes, Lear jets and numerous airliners up to and including the B-747. I am now semi-retired and work as an airline pilot simulator instructor.
I’m an active member of the Georgia Jets Flying Club and usually attend 5 or 6 jet meets per year. I am also a long time member and supporter of the JPO and fully support Keith Siever’s vision for the role of the JPO to represent the jet community to the AMA and to serve as a source of information. I am honored to serve as the District V rep and welcome any comments or suggestions on improvements to the jet community and the JPO.
