Jet Pilot’s Organization procedure for adding individuals to the AMA Accepted Designated CDs for Turbine Waiver Sign Off list

An individual wishing to be added to the AMA Accepted Designated CDs for Turbine Waiver Sign Off list will fill out an Application and have two Contest Directors, who are involved in R/C events, or one Contest Director and one AMA chartered club officer, fill out a Contest Director/AMA Chartered Club Officer Statement of Good Character. These three forms will then be sent to the JPO Representative in that district. In the advent that district position is vacant the forms will be sent to the JPO President. The Representative or President will then conduct a simple interview to verify that the applicant understands the responsibilities of the position. This interview may be conducted by voice, mail or E-mail. Once the Representative or President feel that the applicant meets the requirement for the position she/he will present the applicants name, via E-mail, to the JPO officers for comment. If after one week no comments have been made the individuals name will be sent to the AMA via the JPO Liaison. If during the one-week period concerns are expressed as to the qualification of the individual, the JPO President may at her/his discretion call for a vote from the JPO Board of Directors on the acceptability of the individual. Should the JPO President not be available during the one-week period the JPO Vice-President may call for a vote. A decision to accept the individual will require a simple majority of the Board. If no vote is called for, even if concerns are voiced, the individuals name will be sent to the AMA at the end of one week. The Representatives and/or President will send all paper work to the JPO Secretary on at least a quarterly basis for permanent retention.
