Serving the Jet Community
The Jet Pilot Organization is the Special Interest Group (SIG) for the jet modeling community within the Academy of Model Aeronautics. The primary purpose of the JPO is to promote and protect the hobby of radio controlled jet modeling.
Check out the JPO's quarterly magazine, Contrails. Contrails contains event reports from jet flyins across the US, technical information, and lots of jet pictures. Back issues to 2004 are available.
The JPO has a library of technical articles on everything from Metalkote paint to selecting and maintaining batteries for your jet. There is also information on balancing your jet using the "weight on wheels" method, like a full-scale aircraft, along with a set of Excel spreadsheets to work from.
Become a JPO member, become a part of the largest organization for jet modelers in the world and help the JPO support the jet modeling community.
