I have been flying R/C for 20 years, I have Held many club officer positions over the years, President, Secretary, and Saftery Officer. This is my third season as a member of JPO. I started to fly ducted fans in the early 90's and when I saw my turbine start, I was hooked. I do enjoy this part of the hobby, I try to attend several jet events during the year.  For my first kit, I bought Kerry's Facet 2300 and added a p-120, the one he flew and made very popular.  I also have added to my hanger a Skymaster hawk with a p-80, and a Kangaroo with a p-80.

With 2 parents involved in the world of aviation I don’t think I had a chance to be interested in anything else.  I started flying U-control when I was 7 and made a transition to my first RC aircraft at age 13.  Growing up in Hawaii I flew sailplanes for years before transitioning to the world of powered flight when my parents moved us to Illinois.  I received my private pilot license in high school and graduated from Southern Illinois University with a degree in aviation flight operations / computer science.  I continued to build and fly RC while pursuing a career as an airline pilot.  Today I’m currently an Airbus captain/check airman for United Airlines.  I built my first ducted fan aircraft (Yellow A4) in the mid 90’s and followed shortly after with my first JetCat P120 powered Hot Spot.  My first exposure to the JPO was back in the early 2000’s after I received my AMA turbine CD cert.  Post 911 I took a 10 year break from the world of RC Jets.  I spent a number of years actively working with standards organizations and the FAA to facilitate the safe integration of unmanned aircraft into the NAS.  Somewhere around 2011 I reconnected with the RC Jet world and began flying my AD F16 and Hot Spot.  I am currently working on my Skymaster A10 1.625 scale in Alaska air guard scheme and hope to have it flying this next season.  I look forward to seeing you all at various jet events in the coming years!

I started out in RC in 1999 and I was immediately hooked. I was taught to fly by Bill Graves of Graves RC in Orlando Florida. Shortly after I soloed, about a month or so later, I saw my First Turbine Jet being flown by none other than Bob Violett. I WAS HOOKED. I told Bill I wanted to “DO THAT”. He told me that it takes years to get to that level. I had my Turbine waiver five months later. I received my Turbine waiver with the help of BV on the number three production bobcat!
After that I flew every moment i could. Unfortunately 3 yeas later , due to life circumstances and health issues, I had to stop flying. Fast forward to 2014 and while living in West Palm Beach I stumbled across a local hobby shop called Remote Control Revolution and a great owner named Jason Rose. Well lets just say, I was bit again by the RC Bug. Since that time I have been flying as much as possible, I regained my turbine waiver and currently have eleven Turbine Jets. I am considered by many an expert on most radio systems and turbines.  I can be seen at MOST jet events in the area including Florida Jets, Georgia Jets and Jets over Kentucky to name a few...

I have had held numerous offices in local clubs and I am currently a director and chief flight instructor at Palm Beach RC in Delray Beach, Florida, which has a great Jet Community and a great runway for jets.
